Administering Medication at School
Any medication that needs to be taken during school hours and is brought onto school grounds, must be handed in at the school office.
The school office staff or an assigned teacher will administer any required medication according to the prescription dosage. Prescription medicine should be taken outside of school hours and left at home where possible unless the dosage requires otherwise, or is for emergency purposes. (i.e. an EpiPen).
Hamilton SDA Christian School requires parents/caregivers to complete a "Medication Consent Form" (see below link to download a form) for any medication brought to school. You can also obtain a hard copy of the form at the School Office. This must be completed prior to any medication being administered.
